Conveyor Belt Installations and Related Components Level 1 (CBI 101)

The handling of material by using conveyor belts can be dated as far back as 1890. Today on a modern gold mine all transporting of mine ore  crusher circuit products, waste rock and pebbles, universally takes place by means of conveyor belts. A conveyor belt can simply be described as a moving endless belt on which material is placed and is so transferred from one place to another.

Conveyor belts are important and expensive items. To prevent unnecessary down time, particular attention should be given to the design and selection of components, installation and care and maintenance.
